In terms of the production, would someone on your team be providing a script or partial script and guide to the soundbites we need from people featuring in the video? Yes we will work this out.
There’s a lot to visually represent in the production - people, places, church communities meeting in their context. Alex referenced the Everyone Everywhere video we produced. To keep costs down on this we used generic stock footage to try and tell the story. Would you like to capture real communities meeting etc? If so, either we need to go and capture these or the churches/you provide footage from them so we can include them Alex is happy to use stock footage for this.
One of the biggest things here is the logistics, so understanding who and where we need to film and whether you’re managing these elements or whether we are will have an impact on time and therefore budget. We will film Alex, Christian plus a newly appointed staff member (we know who, its just hasn’t be announced). I can liaise with them and put a date in the diary.
Production level - for interviews and pieces to camera it’s nice to have a 2 camera set up so we can cut between frames, this will include additional hire of equipment. Yes, two cameras would be good (assuming we can get it in budget)
Knowing your budget expectations will help shape where we focus the production time and knowing if you’ll be doing the administration, logistics, scripts etc will help us to factor this in. Alex wondered if you could give us a scope for 2 - a £2000 option and a £5000 option?
With Alex’s sabbatical it would be useful to also know how much we’d like him to feature and realistically when he’l be available to do so (assuming post sabbatical). He will feature significantly and so I think we are looking to film in late August, if we can make that work with your schedule
