Happy Halloween Project

Website, Brand and Media Proposal

Hi Giles & Beth,

I’ve pulled together this web page to propose how I can help serve Arise and the Happy Halloween Project.

It also takes into account considerations regarding team dynamics, incorporating reflections from my strength finders report and the way in which I can work to deliver for Arise in this season.

If we continue to work together, I believe I need to change the way we do so which I’ve outlined below.

Way of working

  1. Project Based, not ‘day based’: We define the clear deliverables (e.g. a website) & I deliver upon these.

  2. Flexible location: The deliverables won’t always require me being in the office to deliver these elements unless it’s for a specific meeting or deliverable review.

  3. Meetings & Training: To increase speed of delivery and efficiency it makes sense for me to focus on deliverables, rather than ideation. In my shape as an influencer I need to focus on actionable deliverable elements as I’m aware I could be perceived as a disrupter otherwise. If I’m requested to offer training or contribute to meetings aside from the agreed deliverables I will record my time and invoice this at £40 per hour.

  4. Availability: For reference my working hours are Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, with availability for evening functions where agreed. I will endeavour to reply to questions and emails within 48 hours. Administrative work generated in addition to agreed deliverables will be invoiced at £40 per hour.

Project Deliverables

  1. Happy Halloween Brand

  2. Happy Halloween Website

  3. Proxi Development

  4. Video Assets

  5. Media campaign plan

ONE

Brand development

I will create a distinctive visual identity for Happy Halloween that feels positive, welcoming and family-friendly, providing a consistent foundation for the website, printed materials and campaign communications.

This will include:

  • Creative direction and visual positioning

  • Logo or campaign wordmark

  • Colour palette and typography

  • Supporting visual style and graphic elements

  • Core brand assets for print and digital use

  • One reasonable round of amendments

Investment: £600

TWO

Happy Halloween website

I will design and build a standalone, mobile-responsive website using the new identity and working alongside the printed campaign materials.

The website will include:

  • Campaign landing page and introductory messaging

  • An accessible explanation of the heart behind the project

  • Relevant maps (using Proxi) such as Light Parties etc

  • “How to Get Involved” content

  • Positive Halloween ideas and practical tips

  • Window-display guidance

  • Integration of the existing Streets of Light elements

  • Back links fo Streets of Light and God Loves Sheffield

  • Resources page for supplied children’s and faith resources

  • Basic search-engine setup

  • Mobile and desktop testing

Website Element Investment
Website planning and content structure: £200
Website design and build: £900
Proxi mapping setup and integration: £600
Website total: £1,700

THREE

Proxi mapping

The Proxi setup will provide an interactive way for visitors to find participating Light Parties. This is largely an administrative process which could be delivered in house by Mike.

The allocated investment allows for:

  • Reviewing and configuring the existing Proxi account

  • Establishing the map structure and visual presentation

  • Creating a straightforward process for adding locations

  • Integrating the map into the website

  • Testing the visitor experience across mobile and desktop

  • Exploring the potential for wider UK mapping

  • Investigating Streets of Light trails or scavenger-hunt functionality

More advanced functionality identified during setup would be discussed before further work begins.

Proxi Element Investment
Map planning and implementation: £900

FOUR

Video assets

Happy Halloween introduction film

A high-quality central campaign film introducing Happy Halloween, explaining its purpose and capturing the vision for a positive, hope-filled celebration.

Investment: £1,200

Window-decoration film

A practical and engaging film showing families how to create a positive window display, produced specifically for the Happy Halloween campaign.

Investment: £900

Gospel-message film

A short, accessible film communicating the gospel message being shared through schools, Light Parties and other campaign activities.

Investment: £600

FIVE

Media Campaign

I will develop a media plan covering social media strategy and broader comms assets to help drive engagment with the Happy Halloween Project.

Investment: £1,200

Assumptions

This proposal assumes that:

  • Written content and resource links will be supplied by the project team.

  • Suitable contributors and locations will be organised collaboratively.

  • Filming will take place within Sheffield.

  • Each film includes one principal version and one reasonable round of amendments.

  • Hosting, domain registration, Proxi subscriptions, paid assets, travel outside Sheffield and third-party licensing are not included.

  • Substantial additions to the agreed scope will be quoted separately.

Next steps

I’m aware there are some significantly different ways of working outlined here. I think this reflects the significant ways in which the team has changed.

Once the preferred package has been confirmed, we can agree the launch schedule, begin the branding process and establish the requirements for the website and Proxi map. Any selected films can then be developed alongside the wider campaign.

Thanks again for inviting me to consider this. I’d love to help create a campaign that feels generous, joyful and genuinely useful to families, while clearly communicating the hope at its heart.
